Lattice Boom Crane Boom Ropes Constructions

Rope Services Direct supply three different rope construction for use as a boom rope on lattice boom crawler cranes.

Firstly we have the 8 strand, compacted and plastic impregnated rope which is for use on guided systems only.

Secondly we have the 9 strand plastic impregnated ropes which also boast a Warrington core and are fully compacted. These ropes offer high performance and have a high cross sectional metallic area.

Thirdly we have the 8 strand parallel closed rope. This particular construction must only be used when anchored under significant tension at each end; however they possess a very high breaking strength.

8 Strand for guided systems only – Plastic Impregnated Rope (PIR) and compacted; Bend, crush and high breaking resistance.

9 Strand high Performance Ropes – PIR, Compacted and with a Warrington core. Features; high break resistance, bend fatigue resistance, crush resistance, high performance rope with a Warrington steel core for additional handling benefits.

8 strand parallel closed rope – high breaking strength – must be anchored both ends under tension. Features; compacted, Warrington core, very high breaking strength.
